Globally Recognized Quality
In the 2016 Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking, the most important MBA ranking of the year, the WU Executive Academy’s Global Executive MBA maintained its excellent position at 44th place of the 50 best MBA programs worldwide. Among EU MBA programs, this puts the Global Executive MBA at 14th place, and an outstanding third place in the German-speaking region. In addition, the program placed extremely well in several other important categories.

New Programs
Certified Insolvency Law Expert
Insolvency law is becoming increasingly important in today’s economy. In traditional legal and business administration programs, however, it is usually given only a brief overview or left out entirely. The newly developed Certified Insolvency Law Expert program aims to react to the increased demands in this area and impart well-founded skills and knowledge in the field of restructuring and bankruptcy to its students. Under Academic Director Georg Kodek, participants have the opportunity to advance their specialist knowledge in law, management, accounting, and balance sheets, and to develop real-life strategies for dealing with restructuring cases.
Global Innovation Expert
Do people in different regions deal with innovation differently? How do local economic and cultural conditions affect future developments? Why do some factors encourage innovative potential in some regions but discourage it in others? The new Global Innovation Expert certificate program aims to answer these questions.
2016 Highlights
Ten-Year Anniversary of Executive MBA Bucharest
Ever since the launch of the Executive MBA Bucharest, an initiative of OMV/Petrom, Erste Bank/BCR, and the WU Executive Academy ten years ago, the program has established itself on the Romanian education market like no other. Current participants, alumni, cooperation partners, and leading media representatives came to Bucharest for the program’s 10th anniversary on May 31, 2017, to celebrate the exemplary success story of the Executive MBA Bucharest.
