New and innovative programs

Understanding technology and business

Blockchain technology is changing our economy in unprecedented ways. The WU Executive Academy’s new short program “Blockchain Transforming Business” combines both technology and business administration. In this 4-day program, participants learn about blockchain technology from both technological and business perspectives and how to recognize ways in which this new technology can benefit their own companies.

Learning agility in 4 weeks

Digital Transformation & Data Science

The 4-week online program in Agile Leadership launched in 2019 shows managers and companies completely new ways to lead: The innovative program allows participants to learn, experience, and try out the new input at their own pace, whenever and wherever they choose. The program focuses on how agile organizations work and how organizations can develop an agile mindset.

“In developing the program, we were particularly interested in providing managers with the core skills that will determine success or failure in the future: In addition to the focus on digital transformation and data science, participants have a choice of electives on topics like strategy, disruption, blockchain, or organizational design.”

20 years of the Global Executive MBA

An Austrian-American success story celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019: When the Global Executive MBA was launched 20 years ago, it was one Austria’s first executive MBA programs, and MBA degrees were still fairly uncommon, even outside of Austria. Today, the Global Executive MBA is triple accredited (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS) and ranks among the 50 best MBA programs in the world.

Nationally and internationally successful

The WU Executive Academy presented its innovative programs at trade fairs in 11 countries (Austria, Germany, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan) in 2019, recruiting about 1,100 new participants for all its programs in the process.

The development of management programs is one of the WU Executive Academy’s core activities. With a finger on the pulse of the times, it addresses topics that help companies master today’s challenges. In 2019, customized corporate programs were developed for a number of prominent companies, including: Porsche Holding, Raiffeisenbank International, Erste Group Bank, Unicredit, HDI Austria, Fonds Soziales Wien, Talanx AG, OeNb and FMA, Österreichische Post, Berndorf AG, Boehringer Ingelheim, Kapsch AG, Verkehrsbüro Group, ProSiebenSat1Puls4, Der Standard, the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs (BMDW), and Compamedia.
